Hey there! I'm Mary Kate
I've always had an interest in photography, starting from when I got my very first camera (it was pink and barbie themed naturally) and I've come a long way since then! I took multiple photography classes in high school, and really developed (pun intended) an interest in film photography. It taught me to love the process of photography, and the thought that goes in to each picture. In film photography each shot matters so I really had to make sure I knew what I was doing! Once I got my first DSLR I started branching out with portraits and quickly fell in love with couples photography.

Couples photography is hands down my favorite thing to photograph simply because I love LOVE! I love seeing couples interact and getting you guys out of your comfort zones. It's a lot of fun for me to be able to be goofy with you guys and run around during photoshoots.
My Interests:
I LOVE to read books. My favorite author has to be Sarah J. Maas because she creates such unique worlds. I've also started reading more classics such as Charles Dickens' A Tale of Two Cities and Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice.
I've been a horse girl for pretty much my whole life. My first experience with riding was when I was eight and my aunt brought me to the farm she rode at. A certain pony named Applebee stole my heart, and there was no going back after that. In middle school I started riding at Walnut Grove Farms, and that's actually where I photographed my first vow renewal!

My faith has become a huge part of who I am over the last three years and I can't imagine where I'd be today without knowing God. I joined the Newman Center at West Chester University and its community means the world to me.
What to know about the Shoot:
1) MOVEMENT: Get ready to move and groove on this shoot!!! I've had multiple couples leave out-of-breath from all the jumping and running we do and I promise it's a blast

2) CONNECTION: This shoot is all about YOU and your best friend! I love being able to capture the authentic connection and relationship between the two of you.
3) PRAYER: I love being able to pray for my couples and their relationships, so please let me know any prayer intentions I can say for you.
