Photography is something I've always loved doing, and I remember how much my high school photography courses helped me to grow and learn. Yet, when it was time to take an independent study in photography, when I could design my own course, I had absolutely no idea what direction I wanted to go in. This made the class more frustrating than fun for the first few months because while I created work, it wasn't anything that I was proud of.

So, when my riding instructor approached me with the oppurtunity to photograph their annual horse show series that fall, I jumped at the oppurtunity. Just the idea of being able to photograph it made me excited and filled with an inspiration that I lacked for the majority of that semester. It's when I first realized how much I enjoyed capturing movement and candid moments.

I've been wanting to get back to photographing horses, so I was really happy when Hannah agreed to help me. She did an amazing job modeling for me and Sebastian was as patient as he could be with us. I hope you guys enjoy seeing some photos from this session!!
